Sports can be quite amazing sometimes. It’s also amazing what simple computer editing can do in 2018.

This week, a fan released a mock “30 for 30” trailer called “Dual Threat, The Jalen Hurts Redemption Story.” That’s a great title, but the editing was even better.

In the trailer, the fan cut up clips of sports analysts criticizing Hurts and his ability as a passer. That, combined with video with rumors of him transferring from Alabama, make this just about the most realistic parody of a “30 for 30” movie ever created.

Check it out:

Hurts “redeemed” himself by coming in for an injured Tua Tagovailoa in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday. Against the same team, Georgia, and on the same field, Tagovailoa replaced Hurts in the second half and led Alabama to a comeback victory in the national championship.

It was Hurts’ turn in the SEC Championship. Hurts led Alabama on two touchdown drives in the fourth quarter, and the Crimson Tide came back to win, 35-28.

There’s little question as to why this fan created a fun parody trailer. What a great “30 for 30” video that story would make.
