No. 4 Alabama is up to a 3.5-point favorite over No. 1 Clemson in Monday’s Sugar Bowl, according to one sportsbook.

ESPN gambling writer David Payne Purdum pointed out the line shift on Sunday evening via Twitter.

The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook is now favoring the Crimson Tide by an extra half point. Alabama has consistently been a 3-point favorite since shortly after opening as a 1.5-point favorite.

Vegas Insider still has Alabama as a consensus field goal favorite.

It seems the longer Nick Saban has to prepare and the longer Alabama’s linebackers have to get healthy, the more likely it is the Tide will come out on top.

For what it’s worth, Alabama did have an extra week to get ready for the game since it didn’t have to play for a conference championship.

If the last two games between these teams are any indication, Monday night should be a thriller.

The Sugar Bowl is set for an 8:45 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN.
