Alabama WR DeVonta Smith had a special season, culminating in him winning the Heisman Trophy on Tuesday night.
He’s a humble, quiet star, and it turns out he’s also a very engaged student. So, it should come as no surprise that he did something amazing to honor one of his favorite professors.
Alabama professor Neika Nix Morgan shared on her Facebook page that she had mentioned during class that she’d never stood on the Bryant-Denny Stadium field during a game, so Smith got her a sideline pass a couple of weeks later. He included a handwritten note thanking her:

That gesture made Morgan’s day. It’s something she’ll cherish for a long time.
Kudos to Smith for taking the time to make one of his favorite professors feel special.
