Alabama placekicker Will Reichard announced Tuesday that he will be forgoing a 5th year at Alabama and will enter the 2023 NFL Draft following the Sugar Bowl against Kansas State.

Reichard has made 61 of his 74 field goal attempts across his 4-year career in Tuscaloosa, drilling 234-236 of his extra point attempts across his career as well.

Reichard talked to Alabama beat writer Charlie Potter to discuss his decision.

“I definitely did think about it, coming back or leaving,” Reichard told Potter. “I wasn’t sure for a really long time, and then after talking to my friends and family and some people that I trust, I decided to go ahead and give it a shot.”

He’ll have one more game for the Crimson Tide, facing off against Kansas State on Dec. 31 at Noon on ESPN in the Sugar Bowl.
