With the new SEC schedule, Arkansas might have the No. 1 strength of schedule for 2020. In addition to the SEC West slate, already-scheduled cross-rotation opponent Tennessee and permanent rival Missouri, the Razorbacks will now also face preseason top-10 teams Georgia and Florida. Shortly after the schedule reveal, Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek released a statement calling Arkansas’ updated schedule “the most challenging schedule in the history of college football.”

“We already owned the nation’s strongest 2020 football schedule and with these additions to our SEC only schedule, we now own the most challenging schedule in the history of college football. As Razorbacks, we have never backed down from a challenge, this year will be no different. Our focus remains on the growth of our program and supporting Coach Sam Pittman and our football student-athletes as they embrace this extraordinary opportunity,” Yurachek’s statement read.

Arkansas will take on Georgia, ranked No. 4 in the preseason Coaches Poll, in a home game. Florida, which checks in at No. 8 in the same poll, will host the Razorbacks in Gainesville.

While the SEC schedulers may have been tough on the Hogs, at least they gave us some fun storylines. First-year UA coach Sam Pittman was offensive line coach at Georgia from 2016-19. The Florida game will feature an unexpected return to The Swamp for graduate transfer QB Feleipe Franks to face-off against his former teammates, including Kyle Trask.
