Wide receivers Jojo Robinson and Kendrick Edwards have been kicked off the Arkansas football team.

Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema confirmed Saturday that neither player is still on the team.

“I think both realize how things have gone,” Bielema said. “I sat down with them both and wanted them to understand there is going to be an ending to this chapter, so let’s make it as positive as we can.”

Robinson has been suspended for three games this season for missing classes. Bielema also mentioned Edwards when discussing Robinson’s suspension on Wednesday.

“When you purposely self-inflict playing time (restrictions) on yourself by not going to class, I just can’t understand that,” Bielema said.

Edwards was dismissed from the team earlier this year due to unspecified off-field issues, but was reinstated over the summer.

Both players have been given permission to speak to other programs about transferring. According to Bielema, Edwards is interested in transferring to an ACC school, while Robinson wants to go to a Big 12 program. Bielema won’t allow either receiver to transfer to another SEC school.

Robinson had caught six passes for 53 yards for the Razorbacks this season, and averaged 19.2 yards on kick returns. Edwards had four catches for 51 yards.
