Arkansas pulled one over on Texas then proceeded to rub it in the face of Longhorns everywhere on Friday.

If you missed the news, Mansfield Legacy High School safety Jalen Catalon announced his pledge to the Razorbacks during a commitment ceremony at his school. Catalon is the No. 25 safety prospect in the nation and the No. 303 overall recruit in the country according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He now plans to join his former Mansfield teammates Taurean Carter and Enoch Jackson in Fayetteville — as those two have already signed with the Razorbacks. Even after coming off a 2-10 season, Arkansas currently has a top 20 recruiting class, which includes nine prospects rated as four-star players.

That in itself is impressive but beating out Texas, which recently won the Sugar Bowl over Georgia, for Catalon’s commitment is wildly impressive for Chad Morris and his staff. Texas coaches even went in-home with Catalon on Thursday night to make their last pitch to the touted in-state safety but those efforts proved to be in vain.

Not long after Catalon announced his commitment to Arkansas, the official Arkansas recruiting social media account had a message for Texas coach Tom Herman.

Here it is in all its savagery:

If you don’t get the reference, that post is poking fun of Herman’s text message with former Ohio State assistant coach Zach Smith. Smith made some wild accusations in a long-winded text to Herman, with the Texas coach simply responding, “Ok. Cool Hook Em!”

Here is a screenshot from that infamous exchange:
