Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz commented during SEC Media Days in the summer that he didn’t remember the last time the Tigers had lost to Arkansas in the Battle Line Rivalry.

On Friday, the Tigers’ 5-game winning streak in the series was snapped in fairly resounding fashion. The Razorbacks turned a 10-6 halftime lead into a blowout as they used 24 second-half points to defeat Mizzou 34-17 in Fayetteville.

What’s more, it’s the first 8-win season for the Hogs since 2015, when they went 8-5. A win in their bowl game would give them their first 9-win campaign since going 11-2 in 2011.

The Razorbacks’ social media department was more than ready to dish out some further losses on Twitter as well:

It’s been a rough last few years for Razorbacks football fans. But with new life being breathed into the program, anticipation is high for the bowl game and what’s to come in the years to follow under Sam Pittman.
