Bobby Petrino made his return to Arkansas official on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account Wednesday morning. Petrino will serve as the Razorbacks’ OC in 2024.

Petrino, who of course served as HC of Arkansas from 2008-2011, shared a picture of he and former Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett, who sadly passed away this summer at the age of 35.

The caption for the picture reads: “It’s you and me 15. Proud to be coming home. Now let’s bring the Hogs a Championship!! #WooPig

Sam Pittman fired offensive coordinator Dan Enos towards the end of this past regular season after the Razorbacks fell to Mississippi State, 7-3 in a truly dreadful football game.  Kenny Guiton served as interim OC.

Petrino saw injuries derail the ability to make a true analysis of his OC gig at Texas A&M this season. The Aggies finished the regular season with the 5th best scoring offense in the SEC despite losing its QB1 early in the season.

Petrino has yet to be officially announced into the role of OC for Arkansas.
