Eric Musselman is a national treasure and must be protected in a manner befitting his stature.

After the Arkansas Razorbacks dethroned No. 1 seed and defending national champion Kansas in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, Musselman did what Musselman always does after huge wins — he ditched the shirt. The Arkansas head coach went over to a crowd of Arkansas fans and partied.

This isn’t the first time Musselman has gone shirtless to celebrate a win. He garnered national acclaim for doing it after big wins when he was the head coach at Nevada. He did it again in February 2022 when Arkansas toppled No. 1 Auburn.

The coach says when he started coaching at Nevada, his team won a CBI Championship and as he went to change his dress shirt to the championship shirt, the group picked him up before the switch could be made, so the topless celebration just became a tradition.

Arkansas has now made it to the Sweet 16 in 3 consecutive seasons. That’s a first for the program since the Nolan Richardson days.

The Razorbacks will await the winner of No. 4 UConn and No. 5 Saint Mary’s.
