Frank Ragnow is a typical NFL center, which means he’s tough as nails and maybe a little too stubborn when an injury threatens to force him out of action.

Which is what’s happening now, as it was confirmed that the former Arkansas star and current Detroit Lions center has a partially torn pectoral muscle that he suffered during Sunday’s victory over Arizona. It’s a serious injury, but the 3-time Pro Bowler hasn’t been ruled out for the season and hasn’t even been ruled out for Monday night’s game against Seattle, according to head coach Dan Campbell.

“We’ll do what’s best for him and what’s best for us in the moment,” Campbell said.

Campbell is a tough guy himself, having played in the NFL himself, so he knows what makes guys like Ragnow tick.

“He’s hard-headed Frank. He’s tough, he’s stubborn, so he wants to go. He always wants to go,” said Campbell.

With a little more time to play with since the Lions don’t play until Monday night, Ragnow’s status for the Week 4 game will depend mostly on how he feels by the middle/end of this week.

Ragnow was a 2nd-team All-SEC selection at Arkansas in 2016 and was a 2nd-team All-American for the Razorbacks in 2017.
