Jared Wegner helped Arkansas take advantage of 2 Texas A&M walks, and an error when he launched a grand slam deep beyond the left-field fence to give Arkansas the lead.

Wegner made the big swing on a 1-out first-pitch fastball in the 7th inning of a second round game in the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama, and lifted the Razorbacks to a 5-4 lead with 1 out.

Wegner’s blast, his 13th of the season, was just the 3rd grand slam in SEC Tournament history, and first since 2018. This was Wegner’s first home run and first RBI since he returned from an injury last week.

Wegner’s home run helped this become an interesting game after the Razorbacks swept the Aggies at Baum-Walker Stadium last month.

Zach Morris came out of the bullpen and pitched 5 innings for Arkansas and allowed 3 hits and 1 run, and struck out 5.

But the Aggies responded in the 9th with a solo shot from Austin Bost to tie the game.
