Lee Corso doesn’t seem to think much of the Arkansas-Cincinnati matchup despite it being one of the few games between two Top 25 ranked teams. A quick soundbyte would suggest he doesn’t think it will be competitive at all.

Cincinnati made big headlines last season when the Bearcats went 13-0 and became the first Group of Five program to crack the final four of the College Football Playoff. They drew Alabama in the semifinal and played the Crimson Tide but lost 27-6 in the Cotton Bowl.

One of the reasons the “Sunshine Scooter” might believe that Arkansas is going to “blast” Cincinnati is because the Bearcats lost a lot of talent from last year’s team and had eight players selected in the 2022 NFL Draft including cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner and quarterback Desmond Ridder.

Meanwhile the Razorbacks have several top returning starters like quarterback K.J. Jefferson, running back Raheim Sanders and my personal favorite, linebacker Bumper Pool.

Arkansas also has some major transfer talent on the roster like former five-star edge prospect Drew Sanders and wide receivers Jadon Haselwood and Matt Landers.

If the Razorbacks can “blast” Cincinnati out the gate, good things may lie ahead.
