SEC Network host Dari Nowkhah has weighed in with his thoughts about potential candidates for the open Arkansas job, and one would certainly be an “out of the box” choice to replace Chad Morris.

Washington State coach Mike Leach is on some lists for the job next to UAB coach Bill Clark, Central Florida coach Josh Heupel and Memphis coach Mike Norvell. Other names include App State coach Eliah Drinkwitz, Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin, SMU coach Sonny Dykes, Liberty coach Hugh Freeze, Auburn coach Gus Malzahn and former Arkansas coaches Bobby Petrino and Houston Nutt.

“I think someone who thinks “out of the box” would work beautifully for Arkansas… thus, Leach,” Nowkhah tweeted, and added that it’s his No. 1 most realistic possibility.

Leach is in his eighth season at Washington State and with a 4-5 record is off to one of his toughest seasons since when he first arrived. Overall, he’s 53-45 at Washington State, and previously was the head coach at Texas Tech for 10 years with an 84-43 record.
