Several SEC teams were in the mix for a Rashod Dubinion out of Ellenwood, Georgia (Cedar Grove), a running back/athlete in the Class of 2022.

Dubinion, who is listed at 5-foot-10 and 177 pounds, has a reported 18 offers. Those came from the likes of LSU, Georgia, Florida, Ole Miss, Purdue and Georgia Tech. Ultimately, he chose Arkansas.

“Football is a game I love,” he said in his announcement video. “When I’m on the field, I feel like I can do anything, and no one can stop me.”

Dubinion is being recruited by Arkansas as a running back who can also line up in the slot. The Georgia native was recruited to Fayetteville by running backs coach Jimmy Smith, who had a strong connection with Dubinion from his time as Cedar Grove’s head coach prior to joining the college ranks, HawgSports.com reported.

Dubinion does not yet have a rating from 247Sports but the next round of monthly rankings are expected on Feb. 24. Arkansas currently sits at No. 24 in the nation and No. 7 in the SEC in the 2022 recruiting rankings, not including Dubinion.

Dubinion is the eighth Georgia product to choose Arkansas since coach Sam Pittman arrived in December of 2019.
