The Arkansas Razorbacks are taking their search to replace fired coach Bret Bielema slowly, as they have a particular target in mind — Auburn’s Gus Malzahn.

Now that the Tigers have lost to the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC title game and won’t be going to the College Football Playoff, the Razorbacks want Malzahn to make a decision quickly.

In fact, according to CBS Sports reporter Barrett Sallee, the Hogs would like an answer by the end of the day on Sunday:

The earlier report that Sallee refers to states that Arkansas is willing to offer Malzahn a 7-year, $50-million deal, which would pay him north of $7 million per year.

Will that be enough to convince Malzahn to leave The Plains? If it isn’t, the Hogs will have to move on to their backup plans to avoid falling into a messy situation like Tennessee is dealing with right now.
