Rocket Sanders has decided to enter the transfer portal and play elsewhere in 2024, he announced on Tuesday night.

Sanders battled injuries in 2023 and was limited to just 209 yards on the year, but his previous production will make him one of the top running backs available in the portal this offseason.

Here’s his announcement:

Sanders was an all-SEC honoree in 2022 when he rushed for 1,443 yards and 10 touchdowns that season. He was a big reason why the Razorbacks won 7 games during that campaign and proved himself as one of the top rushers in the conference.

With Sanders out for much of the 2023 season, it was AJ Green and Rashod Dubinion who got the bulk of the carries in his absence. However, Green has also entered the portal already. Arkansas could opt to use the transfer portal in an attempt to sign a potential starter for next season.

More than a dozen players from Arkansas’ 2023 roster have entered the transfer portal so far.
