Arkansas rallied in the 4th quarter to beat Southeast Missouri on Saturday night, 38-27.

The No. 10 Razorbacks fell behind 17-0 in the first half and didn’t take their first lead until 9:16 remained in the game.

But they won, and that’s what Arkansas coach Sam Pittman wanted to focus on after the game in his locker room speech, giving credit to his players for their resiliency.

“We were down 17-0 man,” Pittman said “… We were down by 10 late in the 3rd. We came back and won by 11. So In those three hours and 30 minutes, you gotta fix it. You gotta get it fixed. And we did. I’m really proud of you.”

Added Pittman: “I’m not going to talk one bit about the ball game. … We’re 3-0, men. However we’re 3-0, we’re 3-0. … We got a good ass team. We’re undefeated. We’re 3-0 because you guys found a way to win the dame game, when it didn’t look good.”

It’s easy to see why players love playing for Pittman and why he has recruited well at Arkansas in what is now his 3rd season.

The Razorbacks will look to stay undefeated in 2022 when play No. 23 Texas A&M in their SEC opener on Saturday night.
