Trelon Smith has made an announcement about his Arkansas future.

Smith, who led the team with 592 rushing yards in 2021, announced on Instagram that it appeared his Arkansas days are over. “Thank you Arkansas, Duce Duce checkin’ out,” he wrote.

Smith was in his third season at Arkansas following a transfer from Arizona State. He led the team in rushing with 710 yards and 5 touchdowns in 2020, along with 159 receiving yards and a touchdown reception. Smith began the 2021 season as the starting running back before Dominique Johnson and Raheim Sanders gained more playing time.

This followed news from Montaric Brown that the senior cornerback announced after the Outback Bowl that he would pursue an NFL career.
