Auburn coach Gus Malzahn spoke with the media on Tuesday as the Tigers prepare for their Sugar Bowl showdown against Oklahoma on Jan. 2.
A big topic of concern is the starting quarterback position, since regular starter Sean White missed the Tigers’ last two games of the regular season with an injured shoulder.
However, Malzahn said he’s seen good things from White as the team practices for its bowl game:
Malzahn said Sean White has been able to "handle the volume" throwing at practice. "We're expecting him to be 100 percent."

Baylor transfer QB Jarrett Stidham practiced with the team Tuesday, Malzahn confirmed, but he won’t be allowed to participate in an actual game until next season:
Early enrollees Jarrett Stidham K.J. Britt, Malcolm Askew practiced today for Auburn.

Fortunately for the Tigers, all signs point to White being able to make the start on Jan. 2. Auburn takes on the Sooners in New Orleans at 7:30 p.m. Central time on ESPN.
