Auburn’s defensive line received another dose of good news this week when Marlon Davidson announced his plans for the 2019 season.

“I realized I just wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Auburn football, and all that it means to put on #3 and battle in the SEC,” Davidson said in an announcement made on Twitter.

Davidson’s announcement comes just two days after teammate Derrick Brown came to the same conclusion. Davidson was projected as a fourth- to sixth-round selection in the upcoming NFL Draft by WalterFootball.com.

Davidson was seventh on the team with 46 tackles, and also had 3.5 sacks. He may be most remembered for three blocked field goals, in three straight games, along with 11 quarterback hurries and three pass breakups. He played for much of the season with an injured ankle.
