Auburn has landed a transfer commitment from Mississippi State offensive lineman Percy Lewis.

The Tigers announced Lewis’s signing on Thursday. He joins the program with one year of eligibility remaining after spending two seasons at the junior college level and then two more at Mississippi State. Lewis gives Auburn a starting-caliber option at tackle.

The 6-foot-8, 345-pound Lewis played in 25 career games with eight starts during his two seasons in Starkville. He started the last seven games of the season for the Bulldogs in 2023.

Among MSU’s top six linemen this season, Lewis had the best overall grade from Pro Football Focus and the second-best pass-blocking grade. He would have been Auburn’s second-highest-graded lineman. According to PFF, he allowed only six quarterback pressures on more than 230 pass-blocking snaps.

Lewis was a 4-star recruit coming out of Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C. In the industry-generated 247 Composite, Lewis was ranked as the No. 5 overall JC prospect and the No. 3 tackle in the class.

Auburn is losing guards Gunner Britton and Kam Stutts. With Lewis’ addition, Dillon Wade can kick inside the guard.

The 2024 signing class brings freshmen tackles Favour Edwin and Seth Wilfred to the program. Four-star interior lineman prospect DeAndre Carter has also signed. Lewis is the seventh known transfer pledge for Auburn in the winter cycle and the first on the offensive line.
