Auburn’s offensive backfield is in a state of transition, and the latest departure to the transfer portal is RB Tank Bigsby, one of the top backs in the SEC.

Bigsby began this season with 3 straight 100-yard rushing games, but had his best rushing efforts against Ole Miss (140 yards) and South Carolina (164). He finished with 1,003 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also had 16 receptions for 116 yards.

That followed a strong freshman season in 2020 when he rushed for 834 yards and 5 touchdowns, earning SEC Freshman of the Year honors. Bigsby also earned Second Team All-SEC honors as a freshman.

Bigsby is the latest departure from the Auburn offense, which this offseason has already included offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, who was fired, RB Shaun Shivers, who transferred to Indiana, and Bo Nix, who earlier in the weekend announced his plans to move to the transfer portal.
