As Auburn QB Bo Nix gets ready for his third season as Auburn’s starter, the former 5-star has made a significant life change.

Nix and his long-time girlfriend Izzy Smoke announced on Instagram that they’re engaged, as they shared pictures of the ring overlooking Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Smoke wrote on Instagram, “Lifting my eyes up towards our Father – the One who not only answered my prayers, but exceeded them. Bo Chapman Nix, it is my greatest honor and joy that you have chosen me to be your WIFE. I cannot wait to run the rest of my race with Christ before me and beside you. HERE’S TO LOVING YOU FOREVER!!!!!!!”

Nix recently signed an endorsement deal with Milo’s sweet tea, and it begs the question about it being served at the wedding reception.

Along with Milo’s, Auburn Art, owned by the great grandson of legendary Auburn football figure Cliff Hare, plans to become the first local Auburn business to sell merchandise autographed by current AU athletes and Nix is the first player to participate, according to Auburn Undercover.

According to manager and co-owner Emily Hare, Auburn Art, located just past Toomer’s Corner on South College Street, brought in Nix to sign 50 items — pictures, footballs, miniature helmets and more.

Last season, Nix finished with 2,415 yards, 12 touchdowns, seven interceptions and a 59.9% completion percentage. With a third offensive coordinator in Mike Bobo, Nix’ development will be closely watched.
