Bryan Harsin may just be four games in, but he’s already getting some negative feedback.

Former Auburn offensive coordinator Tony Franklin shared what he thinks about what Harsin has done so far with the Tigers on his podcast ‘The Coach Tony Franklin.” AL.com’s Mark Heim shared some of Franklin’s strongest criticisms of Harsin.

“You hired a weak man with no backbone who is gonna get run over by all these boosters,” said Franklin.

What Franklin is referencing is the play call Harsin made in the Penn State game that the Tigers ending up losing 28-20.

“You called a press fade for the inside slot receiver for your go-to play to beat Penn State?” he asked. “That’s your go to? That’s what you got? That’s what you go to?”

After losing a close one to the Nittany Lions, Auburn struggled again against Georgia State.

The Tigers went on to win after two late touchdowns in the fourth quarter to beat the Panthers 34-24.

Shortly after the game, Harsin fired his wide receivers coach Cornelius Williams.

Franklin didn’t like that either.

“Four games in and you crack, and you fire your receivers coach?” he asked. “The best coached group on the field for offense was your receivers. You’re basically firing your receivers coach because your offensive line sucks. Your offensive line is bad.”

No. 22 Auburn is now 3-1 and faces a tough 3-1 LSU team in Death Valley.
