The biggest question around Auburn this week is what changes the Tigers will make, particularly on offense as they travel to Ole Miss on Saturday for an 11 a.m. local time kickoff on ESPN.

Coach Gus Malzahn on his radio show Thursday night said that coaches are so wrapped up in a routine that they don’t even watch television. But it’s the players they’re concerned about in terms of “outside noise.”

“That’s real life for them,” Malzahn said. “Just trying to protect them, just trying to keep them in a good frame of mind. We’ve got a very close group and they’re pretty isolated, the best they can be and they feed off each other. They’re determined to get us through this, and they’re looking forward to playing Saturday.”

Malzahn said there will be changes, and didn’t rule out using QB Malik Willis, and said there will be some creativity, and, “everything is a possibility at this point.”

Some keys for Auburn were to avoid turnovers and get the running game going, Malzahn said.

Against Ole Miss?

“Keeping them away from the big play,” he said. “That’s what scares you.”
