Hugh Freeze’s Auburn squad suffered a couple of injuries of note in its Week 2 loss to Cal.

Meeting with the media on Monday, Freeze shared the latest on wide receiver Cam Coleman and right tackle Izavion “Too Tall” Miller. The coach labeled both players “questionable” for Saturday, but indicated that Coleman is more likely to play than Miller.

“(Miller) tried to come back in — I think that was one of the hits Payton (Thorne) took right when he was throwing,” Freeze told reporters. “He just couldn’t move, he’s got a hip issue. We’ve had the MRIs on both of them, it’s nothing that’s season-ending, thank God. Probably, it will be difficult for Too Tall (Miller) to play. I’m not sure on Cam. It depends on how quickly he gets a range of motion in that shoulder.”

Coleman is Auburn’s leader in receiving yards with 115 on 4 catches in 2 games. He had 2 receptions for 53 yards against Cal.

The 6-5, 301-pound Miller is in his second season playing for Freeze. A JUCO transfer in 2023, Miller won the starting job at right tackle ahead of the opener and held onto it for the rest of the year.

Up next, Auburn hosts New Mexico for homecoming (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2). The Lobos are off to an 0-2 start in Bronco Mendenhall’s first season with the Mountain West program. The Tigers have an 85-8-4 record on homecoming, including 32 in a row. AU is a 28.5-point favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook.
