Since Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford and RB D’Andre Swift (taken in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft) are both former Georgia Bulldogs, they’ve been able to get some workouts in this offseason in the Atlanta area.

Fellow Detroit RB Kerryon Johnson (a former Auburn star) has been left out of that, but he isn’t ceding his starting job just yet.

After a Lions fan posted a picture on Twitter of Stafford and Swift working out next to a pic of Johnson and his girlfriend on a beach, Johnson took to Twitter to defend himself:

“I assure you it’s scientifically possible to workout and NOT post about it…” Johnson’s tweet reads. “I’m with the ignorance tho if you wanna get started.”

When things are able to get back to normal, it’s safe to say Johnson will be ready to return. And, with the way the NFL is today, having multiple running backs ready to play isn’t a bad thing for the Lions.
