Auburn went into Baton Rouge with a 3-2 record last Saturday, looking for its first convincing win of the season over one of its biggest rivals.

The result was a 48-11 drubbing of LSU on the road, that may have left you wondering what in the world Gus Malzahn said to his team in the locker room before taking the field.

Thanks to this preview from the SEC Network’s “SEC Inside”, we have a glimpse into Malzahn’s way of getting his team fired up.

“It’s real simple,” said Malzahn. “We’ve been waiting on this moment, we need to show the world we are officially on a roll.

“All we got to do is play Auburn football. That’s all I want you to do. Take care of each other, pick each other up, and we’re going to kick these keys butts.”

Malzahn’s words were simple but clearly effective. Now Auburn will look to carry that momentum into a home date with a struggling Mississippi State team.
