Former Auburn wide receiver Kyle Davis is planning to transfer to Florida Atlantic.

Davis, who was dismissed from the Tigers’ program in October, is now enrolled in classes in Boca Raton and will play for Lane Kiffin, according to multiple reports (first reported by 247Sports Auburn Undercover).

“We just want to thank the Auburn fans for their support,” his father, Ron Davis reportedly told AL.com. “Coach Malzahn and the Auburn staff and family have been so nice to us, but we’ve moved on and Kyle will be taking his talents to FAU.”

Auburn landed Davis — a former Under Armour All-American — over Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina in the class of 2016. He was a highly-touted 4-star prospect out of Lawrenceville, Ga.

While at Auburn, Davis played in five games. He caught seven passes for 210 yards this past season, and was third on the team with 248 receiving yards in 2016, the report pointed out.

Davis also caught a pair of touchdown passes his true freshman season. He was kicked off Auburn’s team for a violation of team rules. He also missed the entirety of the Tigers’ past spring practice due to “personal reasons,” a separate Auburn Undercover report noted.

Davis will join former Tigers QB John Franklin III, who also transferred from Auburn to FAU back in August.
