Twitter reaction to Auburn WR Duke Williams' dismissal

Auburn dismissed senior wide receiver Duke Williams late Monday night, citing a “failure to meet the expectations of our program” according to coach Gus Malzahn.

Many fans were shocked, some relieved and others ready to throw in the towel on this disappointing season after the latest shockwave announcement on offense.

NFL draft guru Todd McShay was critical of Williams and never believed his was a first-round pick next season (though most mocks projected otherwise pre-dismissal):

Several media members thought the oft-troubled Williams should’ve declared after his junior season:
