Danny Ford served as the head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks for five seasons from 1993-1997 after a 12-season stay as head coach of the Clemson Tigers. Ford experienced limited success at Arkansas, racking up a 26-30-1 record in five seasons, including an 0-1 record in bowl games. Ford’s best season in Fayetteville came in 1995 when he lead the Razorbacks to an 8-5 record, including a 6-3 record in the SEC. His team finished the regular season 8-3 overall and 6-2 in the regular season, good enough to win the SEC West division. His teams were a combined 18-25-1 in his other four seasons, including a 10-21-1 record in SEC play.
Ford’s best years were spent at Clemson, where his teams went a combined 96-29-4 and reached eight bowl games in the span of 12 seasons. He was the head coach of Clemson’s 1981 national championship team as well as four other ACC championship teams.
