Fred Pancoast
Fred Pancoast held three college head coaching jobs, including at Tampa, Memphis State and Vanderbilt.
Pancoast led the Commodores to a 7-4 season in 1975 before enduring three consecutive 2-9 finishes.
Pancoast also spent time as Florida’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, coaching Steve Spurrier to a Heisman Trophy, and served as Georgia’s offensive coordinator in 1970-71.
The Pensacola, Fla., native played football at the University of Tampa.
