Hank Foldberg served as an assistant coach at Florida and Texas A&M before eventually taking over as head coach of the Aggies in 1962. Foldberg was an assistant at A&M in 1951 and served as line coach at Florida from 1952-1959. He worked as the head coach of the Wichita Shockers for two seasons from 1960-1961, posting back-to-back eight-win seasons and back-to-back undefeated runs through the Missouri Valley Conference.
He returned to College Station in 1962 and led the Aggies for three forgettable seasons. Foldberg never won more than three games in a season, his best season coming in ’62 when he led A&M to a 3-7 record. He was fired following the 1964 season with a cumulative record of 6-23-1.
