Kiser earned widespread acclaim for mentoring quarterback Jay Cutler, the 2005 SEC Offensive Player of the Year who virtually rewrote the Commodore record. He was the Commodores quarterback coach from when he arrived at Vanderbilt in 2002 until 2006. From 2007 to 2009 he was Vandy’s co-passing game coordinator and was handed the offensive coordinator reigns in 2010.
