Ross McKechnie spent his brief two-year coaching career in Starkville as head coach of the Mississippi State football program from 1933-1934, failing to record a winning season in that time. McKechnie’s Bulldogs finished 3-6-1 in 1933 and 4-6 in 1934 before retiring from coaching. He passed away in 1967 at the age of 71.
