College basketball AP Top 25: 10 SEC teams ranked entering 2025

The latest college basketball AP Top 25 is out, and the SEC heads into 2025 as the sport’s dominant conference.

Tennessee and Auburn continue to lead the way as the top 2 teams in the nation. Both squads kept their spots during a quiet holiday week. In fact, the entire top 13 remained the same for the final poll of 2024. The top 13 features 7 SEC squads, including a trio of undefeated teams: Tennessee (12-0), Florida (13-0) and Oklahoma (13-0).

Overall, there are 10 SEC teams in the AP Top 25. Mississippi State moved up 2 spots to No. 17 during an off week. Arkansas stayed at No. 23 in the new poll. Ole Miss was the biggest faller in the new poll, dropping 8 spots to No. 24 after a loss to Memphis.
