Joe Lunardi is in the home stretch of bracketology season. Selection Sunday is this weekend, following the conclusion of conference tournament week.

The SEC has 6 teams that are basically locks to make the 68-team NCAA Tournament field, according to Lunardi’s latest bracketology.

Then, there are Florida and Texas A&M, who both need big wins to move up the bubble. Here’s where Lunardi currently projects each SEC team to end up:

  • Auburn — No. 2 seed (Midwest)
  • Kentucky — No. 2 seed (East)
  • Tennessee — No. 3 seed (South)
  • Arkansas — No. 4 seed (West)
  • Alabama — No. 5 seed (South)
  • LSU — No. 6 seed (West)
  • Florida — Next Four Out
  • Texas A&M — Next Four Out

Texas A&M and Florida just so happen to meet in the second round of the SEC Tournament on Thursday. You have to think the loser of that game will see its NCAA Tournament hopes dashed, while the winner will live to play another day.
