During the picks portion of ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday, analyst Desmond Howard picked Tennessee to win at Pittsburgh this afternoon.
Given that the Volunteers are a 6-point favorite on the road against the Panthers, Howard’s not really going out on too much a limb with that pick.
There’s just one problem, however.
Howard had previously picked Pittsburgh as one of his 4 College Football Playoff teams.

The reality is, coming from the lowly ACC, if Pitt loses at home to Tennessee today, a lot would have to go desperately wrong for a lot of teams for the Panthers to have any hope of making the CFP.
Not surprisingly, college football fans took Howard to task on social media for his apparent lack of logic:
Damn… @DesmondHoward feels bad man.. https://t.co/g6mhBEkoTI

I find it funny that Desmond Howard is picking against Pitt today, when it was Desmond Howard that had Pitt as one of his 4 teams for the CFB playoff
