As part of the Labor Day weekend festivities, college football is on TV on a Sunday night. More accurately, the Jalen Hurts Show is on TV.

The former Alabama quarterback is making his Oklahoma debut and it’s already a night for the record books (and Heisman Trophy hype).

In the first half against Houston, Hurts rushed for 128 rushing yards, tying a school record for Oklahoma quarterbacks. The 128 mark is more than former Sooners QB Kyler Murray rushed for in any game last season on his way to winning the Heisman Trophy. Hurts got it up to 161 yards in the second half, a new career-high.

Hurts has also been near-perfect as a passer. At one point in the second half, Hurts’ passer rating was 307.5. He has thrown three TD passes and run it in three times, giving him a career-high six touchdowns. Hurts is currently at 332 passing yards, just 15 yards shy of his career-high set at Alabama. In the night of threes (three passing TDs, three rushing TDs), Hurts currently has only three incompletions (20-of-23 passing).

Hurts has the Sooners up 42-17 on Houston in the fourth quarter.
