Del Rio just recently joined the Badgers staff in 2024 after serving as defensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders from 2020-2023. Del Rio also served as the head coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2003-2011 and Oakland Raiders from 2015-2017. His official position with the Badgers is senior adviser to Luke Fickell.
Wisconsin’s season has been very back and forth. The Badgers are taking care of business against the teams they should beat, but have struggled against quality competition. Wisconsin has fallen to Alabama, Penn State, Iowa and USC this year.
And it only gets tougher. The Badgers gear up for a tilt against No. 1 Oregon this week, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
