It’s been a long time since the Pac-12 was relevant in college football, and it’s not getting better anytime soon.

Lincoln Riley’s hire at USC may bring some life to the conference, as he’ll try to breathe life back into an exhausted but capable national title contender. Until then, however, the Pac-12 remains irrelevant.

During the 2021 season postseason, the Pac-12 finished 0-5, and that doesn’t include UCLA’s cancelation due to COVID issues.

The latest loss came Saturday night in the Rose Bowl, as Ohio State beat Utah 48-45. The Utes join Oregon State, Oregon, Arizona State and Washington State as losers this postseason.

In fact, the Pac-12 hasn’t won a bowl game since the 2019 season. Really.

Social media had a field day with the Pac-12 after the Utes lost to the Buckeyes.
