I get the frustration. Trust me....but Richt gets it too. He nailed it with this quote. He taught these boys the meaning of life. You don't always win. Sometimes you never win. People and even your own family will hate you for it. Richt selflessly dedicated himself to UGA and the development of those athletes on and off the field and each one had a personal relationship. His wife and family gave 15 years of their lives as well. I know they didn't live a bad life by any means, but I'm sure Mark missed a lot of important things for UGA. It is shameful when a man of his character and record is fired by a university and fan base for not giving them something to brag about. I can only imagine how unresolved he feels. This happens in every school across America and is exactly what is wrong with sports and life in general. If you aren't on top, you are a loser.
Yeah, no parent thinks their kids are ugly. What the OP of this response letter fails to do is accept responsibility for his ugly family member. To simply say anyone engaging in classless behavior is not part of the "family" goes against reason, as those people bear your same name. You are Georgia fans. All of you. Regardless of association with the University or Athens. As we are "All In" Auburn family. You have to take the good with the bad...and just because you didn't see it or have never seen it happen does not give anyone the right to discredit a person's claims. Personally my wife was punched like a man by a guy branding the "G" after a AU/GA game, in our front yard, in Auburn. That one fan gave me a special hatred for UGA. Auburn & Georgia = Harfield's & McCoy's
While attending Auburn, my wife was physically assaulted by a Georgia fan after the AU/GA game, in Auburn, while she was taking our white English Bulldog out to use the bathroom. Poor guy got a week long complementary visit in the hospital. Never in my life have I ever seen the level of classless fans as those who pull for UGA. That guy deserved every punch and kick that he got. Now living in Ga and being an Auburn fan, I get to hear it all season long. I just sit back and smile. Kind of like they are sitting in hell talking about the one time they saw heaven.
