Now that a year is in the books, we can all reflect on the opinions expressed here. Let's see -- Jonathan Allen played 5 games, got 1.0 sack, and 10 tackles (2.0 per game played). Myles Garrett played 11 games, got 7.0 sacks (including one on the very first play of his NFL career) and 31 tackles (closer to 3.0 per game, but not quite). That ought to end the Allen vs. Garrett debate. As for big fat loudmouth idiot Warren Sapp - his rookie year, he got 3.0 sacks and an interception returned for a TD, which I would contend is fluky for a D lineman. We'll see how Garrett's career goes, but it looks like he arguably had a better rookie year than Warren the sap.
