I agree with frivolity. According to article Woodson touched the ball 23 times and had 44 tackles. Manning probably touched ball 1000 times and effectively diagnosed defenses from best defensive conference on every play. Yes, Woodson was good and offenses may have avoided him some and he had to make pre-snap judgements as well but no where to the QB level. There is no question my mind that Manning had greater impact and should have won. Media hyped the award to Woodson.
