Dawg Haus

Another great read, Murf. It annoyed the heck out of me, too, that Uncle Verne and Gary the Troll were trying to make Sony into Carlton Thomas last Saturday. Losing Nick Chubb can only hurt (and prayers up for the man), but having a guy like Sony Michel ready to step in does help a Dawg sleep better at night.
I can't help but feel smarter after having read one of Murf Baldwin's posts. Great work, my man!
Another classic, Murf! Like a lot of Dawg fans, I wasn't sure what to make of Coach Schottenheimer when he was hired. I don't really follow the NFL, so all I knew about him is that he played at Florida under Spurrier (eww) and that his dad was a pretty successful head coach in the League (not eww). So far, I am totally sold. I love the diversity of play calling that Schotty brings to the table. I supported Coach Bobo, but something tells me he wouldn't have put up 52 points on South Carolina on Saturday. Coach Schottenheimer comes to Georgia at a good time- with an experienced OL, a running back corps where the third- and fourth-string guys could start on other SEC teams and a guy at QB who knows what he's doing. I believe these advantages will give him space to open up the playbook even more as the season wears on and the younger guys get more comfortable in his offense. So far, so good with Schotty, man.
Murf, it really is a "pick your poison" kind of year at the TE position. I'm confident that each guy will get his playing time since, as you so clearly showed, each one of them brings something a little different to the table. I had more or less forgotten about Jordan Davis myself until I went to G-Day. That guy was a terrifying receiving threat! Totally agree with you on Quayvon, too. He's long been one of my favorite Dawgs. I just wish he'd go back to that awesome face mask he rocked in 2013!
Can I also say that wherever the Rams end up in the near future, they need to bring those unis back? I love those!
Murf, I'm just going to follow you all over the internet. This is a great piece! If there's ever a time to snatch "TE U" back, it's now. We talked about two-TE sets quite a bit over at Dawg Sports last season. Looks like Schotty will be granting us our wish quite often this year!
