Thing is, I'm certain that, had Cincinnati been one of the teams chosen, it would have gotten roundly decimated as soon as Alabama entered the stadium. People are quick to talk about how great LSU was last year, but forget that they beat Alabama by 4 points, and had to be the last team with the ball to do that. NOBODY all year, pressed Alabama that hard. All SEC, notwithstanding, there was no team in the country that would have beaten Alabama. They could expand it to 16 teams, and the finals would have had Bama slaughtering a helpless lamb, that was a big bad wolf all year. This was the "IT" year, period.
