FPI is worthless. The 2019 final FPI rankings, issued after LSU beat the hell out of Clemson in the National Championship game, still ranked LSU 3rd behind Ohio St. and Clemson. So the FPI can't even get it right after every game has been played.
I would say you need a history lesson, HWB, but it's clear that you would simply rather not acknowledge the facts that don't fit your narrative . In 2005, LSU played a "home" game in Arizona because of Katrina and played Tennessee on a Monday night after Rita. UF was offered both options (playing in Baton Rouge or postponing to Sunday or Monday) and refused to consider either one. Instead, on Saturday, Foley chose to try to shift blame by making up the lie that rescheduling to Nov. 19th was already offered to and rejected by LSU. There is no reason why the game could not have been postponed to Sunday or Monday with the understanding that cancellation was still a possibility once the extent of damage could be evaluated by Saturday afternoon. By the way, your ignorant attempt to compare the two storms by saying, " St. Augustine and Jacksonville which were submerged just like lower Ms and New Orleans" is sickening. Death tolls of 1800 versus 22. I'll save you the headache of doing the math. That's a difference of almost 100X.
Ole Miss defense gets an A? They gave up 406 total yards, 264 rushing, when everyone knew that LSU was going to line up and run at them (142 passing yards on only 16 attempts). On LSU's 95-yard touchdown drive, the only pass was the three yard pass for the touchdown. Go ahead and hang your hat on scoring defense. But for the terrible inadvertent whistle when Fournette was never down and a missed field goal from LSU's otherwise very consistent kicker, LSU puts another 10 points on the board.
