They might as well have named them "Co-Starters" because they'll both be playing this year and the starter will probably change week to week. Both guys are very good QBs.. Collin just has more time spent with both BoBo and the offense. Two guys that know each game could be a new opportunity... They'll be fine and the team will be better for having two great guys running the offense!
I've been a Gamecock fan for many years and I've personally seen us lose to the Citadel Bulldogs twice.. AT HOME..AT WILLY B!!! I started this season full of optimism after paying close attention to word coming out of spring..summer and fall camps. I really believed and was buying into upbeat reports that we were hearing about this team...that this team had a different work ethic..a special chemistry..that they were jelling into a team that just might be something special in Muschamp's 4th year. And then the debacle of UNC happened followed by the ugliness on both sides of the ball vs Alabama. I don't care who you are..if you can't score from the 1 foot line just before halftime in your own stadium with 4 downs to do it in front of 85,0000 screaming fans after driving the length of the field..you have some serious SERIOUS issues!!! This is starting to feel and look like ineptitude at it's highest and the blame lies everywhere. Poor fundamentals...bad coaching..undisciplined players..really bad tackling..poor execution..and just really REALLY weak effort by every player behind the defensive line. I don't think that we can outscore Kentucky, Missouri, Georgia, Florida, A&M or Clemson and I really think that Appalachian State could be our signature loss this year. Thank God that the Citadel isn't coming back this year because I think that with this team and these coaches that they would probably be able to come back into town and steal another one..particularly after seeing them beat Tech at home last week. There's a lot to like with this team as far as perceived talent and personal dedication but there's a disconnect somewhere and something is terribly wrong with the results that we are seeing on the field. I've seen this before and it wasn't pretty then and it won't be pretty now. Especially after starting this season with such high hopes and dreams. This team will be lucky to scratch out 4 wins and that's probably just where we're at in the Muschamp era and that's tough for me to say because I really thought that we had a chance at a 8-4 or 7-5 season before I witnessed the dysfunction that our coaches are putting on the field so far this season. I hate writing this but I've followed my Gamecocks through thick and thin and have cheered them on through 10-2 seasons and 0-11 so I get a feel early on for downward spirals and that is exactly what this one feels like to me. I just really REALLY hope that I am wrong.
No....he was IMPLYING that it's been done before not that we're good at upsetting highly ranked UGA teams 'coz nobody's good at that yet...as far as I know. You guys have a great team and the Gamecocks are improving vastly over where they were and they're doing it much more quickly than expected. Thanks to an overachieving undersized ex UGA walk-on defensive back and Senior year captain...this team just might slip up and win a few games that they maybe might not should have. Who knows...everybody is undefeated and hopeful right now and the only way that our Gamecocks are going to have a special year is to somehow pull off some very unexpected wins this year. We'll see soon enough what the actuality of all of that happening is. It is possible..not really all that probable but it IS possible!
Thanks for coming back home and for all that you did while you were a player for Gamecock Nation...True Gamecocks will always have your back because you have made many sacrifices for our University that very few people can understand much less relate to. Don't listen to the haters...they'll always try to bring good people down....Gamecock Nation is proud to call Stephen Garcia a member of the Gamecock family!!!! GO COCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EGGSACTLY....Couldn't have said it better... It's football! Things happen and you have disappointing years...that's life and aren't sports supposed to be a reflection of life and teach young people how to navigate it's ups AND downs???? All of these kids will be better at football and life after this season....and so will Spurrier and Whammy Ward! GOCOCKS!!!
