Small correction: Arkansas plays Mississippi State next week, not Ole Miss. And the Rebels are glad for it. If I lost that way, I wouldn't wanna see those fools back in my stadium for a while. :D

Backwards lateral, like a backwards pass, can hit the ground and be recovered by any player to advance.

The intent of the rule is to prevent accidental, dumb luck from trumping over skillful execution. Henry chucked the ball backward and it was in fact a lateral, but more importantly, he had no clue where the ball was going to land, or even if a teammate could take it the distance for the first down. When the ball (miraculously) landed in Collins' hands, he still needed help from blockers in front, as well as his own heads-up reaction and speed, to reach that first down marker. Had the ball been forcibly dislodged by an Ole Miss player, it would have been game over, but Henry threw it over his head.

Our season's not over. Williams is a beast, he'll be back. And now Walker sees his shining moment to step up and make that two-back backfield his own. This doesn't worry me, and I wish J-Dub a speedy recovery.

Honestly, I have no problem with this ranking. I'm a Hog through and through, and Arkansas has a squad that truly has a chance to make it to the SEC Championship and win it in style, but while Bielema has turned our program into a dream on the field (dare I say borderline erotic?), it's still just his 3rd year. And in those three years, the stuff you're not seeing on the field has become far more important to me than any SEC trophy. Petrino didn't care about grades or arrests. Now, no one on the team has lower than a 2.0 average and we've had one arrest in the past two years.
